Concept / Story behind 'The Unseen' :
"The happiest person also has their own struggle"
This is how I'll describe the theme of my self portrait work.

"The Unseen" is a self portrait of myself that portray what other people don't see in me on the outside. People always see me as a happy and very cheerful person while on the inside I'm actually struggling with my own thoughts and problems. In this artwork I wanted to show how I was trapped in my 'bad' personalities especially with perfectionism and overthinking, how I wanted to get out from this personalities so badly, but it is a very hard thing to do because my ego is much bigger, and how I am a closed off person who doesn't tell and show much to others because I'm too afraid to make them feel uncomfortable and disturbed by my problems.

Having all of these are always tiring. I've hated myself and my works just because I didn't achieve that high standard I set. Stressed, overthink and got overwhelmed by things will always be my routine and my main food. Battling with these kind of personalities are not easy at all, I always ended up by giving a hard time for myself. But then, I realized that they were all still a part of myself, this what makes me a person, and this is who I am.

PROJECT 2 : SENSE OF PLACE

FINAL PROJECT : VISUAL ANALYSIS

REFLECTION
This module is definitely my favorite one out of all. The classes and tasks given were so fun. I feel that in this module I can freely express myself through the artworks because it requires us with no specific theme. My favorite task will be the self portrait one, just because through it I can really reflect on myself, like what person I really am, and also can get many perspective from my friends on how they see me all this time (some kind of surprised and flattered me tho lol). Other tasks were also fun yet challenging, especially when deciding the theme or what design should we make.
Lastly, I wanted to thank Dr. Charles again for being a very kindhearted, fun and understanding person all the time (I'll buy you a big truck of the korean almond honey butter if you want sir<3)
