Individual Visual Research
Sketches
After I went through some layout designs on Pinterest and Behance, I started sketching some design inspired by the group moodboard and my own research. Finally, I decided to choose first and third layout as it seems more interesting and have a better flow/composition.

Before starting digitize and finalize the sketches, I searched for information that I wanted to include to the book and summarize it, with a note of focusing with our group's research questions and objectives. I as well looked for some kimono images and patterns to insert and for illustration reference.
Digitization
For digitization, I went to Adobe Illustrator as I am more convenient to design there. I started with adding title, headlines and body texts. Then I inserted the pictures as well as illustrate the kimonos and other accessory to vector style using pen tool.
Lastly, I added some graphic elements to spice it up so that it become more interesting and not too plain.
