1. First meeting

We all suggested different cultures that we could do our project on.
And the suggested cultures were:

  • Chinese opera
  • Hawaiian culture
  • Japanese Street Fashion
  • Tradition of Cuba
  • Roman mythology
  • Mexico’s culture, “Dia de los muertos”

After coming to a vote, a majority of us decided on Japanese street fashion.

2. Research

After agreeing on Japanese street fashion we began our research online and found out that there were so many different types of Japanese street fashion in Japan. There is lolita fashion, Decora fashion, Kogal fashion, Ganguro fashion and many more, we decided to focus only on a few of these fashion styles.
We also did a research on Japanese fashion in general and how it evolved from it earliest mention of it to the modern day. After that a short slide was made as our base proposal for our first consultation with our lecturer Mr. Asrizal. We also decided to do a mix of traditional and modern fashion style.

FEEDBACKS
WEEK 1:
Specific feedback: Instead of doing about Japanese street fashion as a whole why don't you focus on the Japanese kimono instead for your project.

General Feedback:
The proposal should have: Research question, objectives, rationale.

WEEK 2:
Specific Feedback:
Research question and Research objectives are related and must coincide with each other. In terms with your research questions they should be more clear and simplified.
Research questions is the question you're asking and finding answer to in the project; while research objective is the reason/objective of those questions you're asking
