INSTRUCTIONS
EXERCISES
This project is a collaboration between TDS and Biosciences Food Science Students. Additionally this semester we will also be collaborating with a real food brand, Kawan Food, where we'll be designing the packaging and merchandise design for the product.
For this task, we're to create our own group which consists of 4 to 5 individuals. My group itself consists of myself, Rhyanne, Adriel and Evander, with Adriel as the team leader.
As for the product, we're given the whole jackfruit tater tots.

To get a clear view of the product, the Food science students presented to us about their ideas and the details of what their product is. In the meeting, we also help to discuss their product's name, which led to the selection of Jackries. After that, we only proceed with our own research to design suitable packaging for them.

For the moodboard, Rhyanne and I gathered some references and put them in Miroboard, so then it will be discussed together with the other members.

Progression
After discussion on our Whatsapp group, we decided to choose Retro as our main theme. We then divided the tasks into 3 parts—illustration, typography, and layout, then allocated them to each individual. I decided to handle the typography part.
I started sketching and exploring different fonts, and the final font that I found matched the theme and Rhyanne's illustrations, were the 'Flame' (heading) and 'Satoshi' (body texts) typeface.

FEEDBACK
Week 9
Ms April feedbacks:
• Reconsider the color palette
• Improve and stick with one theme / type of references
• Give a dimension / exact size for the packaging (show where the laminating part,etc)
• It looks more like a couple products rather than food products (because of the illustrations, but the illustrations style itself is alr good)
Week 10:
Mr. Shamsul Feedbacks:
•better to show the image of the tater tots (or present without the image)
•differentiate the Bahasa Malay & English with different type family
•italic some words that you want to highlight
•the last paragraph is too long, might wanna break to 2 paragraph
•give a title(?)
•complete the informations on the back
Week 11:
Kawan Food Feedbacks:
The illustrations are cute! Shows the friendship between the jackfruit and the tater tot which represents Kawan food's brand image. Style fits the retro theme presented. The Colour is vibrant and attractive for the target audience.
